dilemna of a sleepaholic.

I have issues...yes.. Many, it's true.  But one I cannot understand, is my problem with alarm clocks.

My phone goes off every morning at 6:45 am.  I also have a pink alarm clock across the room that goes off at 7:00 am as well as an ipod with the loudest sheep baahing you could ever wake to.  A normal person would shut them off and get started with their day..  I'm not normal.  Instead I shut them off in my sleep.  The best part, it's always about 15 minutes before they go off.  I don't know what to do besides hiring someone to come hide my alarms before I go to bed every night.  But until then I will shut off every alarm involuntarily before they ever go off and sleep contently until I have 10 minutes to rush to work.

I cannot continue this way.

mello yello mello mello...

my friend Anthony came in today at work.  He's one of the regulars who likes to just stand and chat.  He bought me a Mello Yello from the coke machine after I told him I've never had one. Surprisingly, it was really good!  The song advertising the soda drives me nuts, but the product itself is actually wonderful.  About 15 minutes into my soda I realized I could not sit still and looked on the back of the can to see it had 51 mg of caffeine.  It's going to be a fun afternoon :)

sock's craziest nap spot.

1 scarf, 2 scarf, red scarf, blue scarf.

I decided I have become pretty selfish the last couple months.  Watching all the 9-11 specials this weekend made me realize I have so much more to give.  It just amazes me how much I love our country and the people in it.  There are so many selfless people in this world and I so badly want to hug them.  In an interview on CBS, they were talking about how a fireman changed from a boy to man on 9-11, he stated back to CBS that "It's not the severity of the event that changes who you are, but how you interrupt the event that changes who you are." I really liked that because every trial we're going through, we can either come on top of it or we can be taken under.

Recently I've become saddened I don't have a best girlyfriend in my life.  One I can call to just come over and watch movies with til we ball ourselves to sleep.  But I had my sisters Arianne and Alex come over for a sleepover on Saturday and realized I was wrong.  My sisters are my best girlfriends in the world and a lot of people can't say that.  I also decided if I want more friends, go get more friends! I've had more people over for wii games,  I've gone out and played tennis with everyone who can, and have started making more phone calls to those I haven't spoken to in awhile.  And you know what? I'm happy :) I took a step back and realized I don't have a reason to be sad.  I'm a very blessed girl and I've always been grateful that I've been able to make friends so easily throughout my life.

I'm wearing a lot of scarves today.  Not because I'm cold or sick, well I kinda am, but I have a lot of my scarves I haven't worn in awhile so I decided to wear all of them at once.  I might look like a coat rack, but I love the colors! And I love today!

10:40 AM at the surplus.

Work...All my papers are in this morning and the lack of customers is wonderful.  The phone here at work is ringing off the hook though and I realized how much I hate that annoying tone.  I'm tired this morning which is weird for going to bed at 11:30.  I called my sister Amanda last night and had a lovely phone call in which she made my blues of the day go away.  She told me to try out a website called Morph Thing.  You can morph faces or create babies with celebrities and I will tell you this- I should not ever have babies with Obama. I'll have to post a picture when I get back home.

I had the best Labor Day weekend with my family up at East Canyon.  We spent the days out in the sun playing tennis which couldn't make me any happier! I was thrilled on how amazing everyone was playing.  We've got tennis talent running through this side of the family for sure.  I loved having my Vanessa, Owen and Aliyah with me and it was so good catching up with Mom, Dad, sisters, brothers, cousins, aunts, uncles, Grandpa and Grandma.  Oh and yes, we totally had an Anastasia movie night and we all sang on top of our lungs to each of the songs.  Basically it was a perfect getaway and I'm pretty sure I have the best family.

I also have a cute boyfriend.  His name is Zac.  He is best friends with my kitten and my kitten can't get enough of him or his socks.  He had to leave a pair at my house just to keep my kitten happy.  Which it has, he doesn't sleep anywhere without dragging them there first.  Zac went out this weekend with our best friends Steve and Sean to California with the Muss Bus for the USC/UofU football game.  I get to feed his fish Mickey and Roonie while he's gone. Mickey is probably the coolest fish in the world because legitly there is a Mickey Mouse on his tail.  It's pretty mind blowing. I like their home and consider it my second home here in Salt Lake.  The three boys are my best friends and I'm pretty lucky to have them.

PS, I'm selling some clothes, shoes, and UofU football tickets online through KSL and facebook.  Let me know if you're interested in any of it.  I'm also working on some artwork that I'll be selling and if you have any requests for artwork do let me know! I will cater for your needs.

Well my grape fruit and mac n' cheese are calling upstairs in the break room.  I'm going to eat some lunch and pray the work phone doesn't destroy my ears by the end of the day.
